Kia ora, I’m glad you found me!

My name is Julia Sabugosa, a half Brazilian, half Portuguese, mother of a wonderful girl, graduated in performing arts in Brazil and photography in the US and Brazil.

I have strong values around respect, trust, and freedom, and I love using my art to empower women. Gender equality and anti-racism are causes I deeply support.

I’ve lived in Brazil, Portugal, Australia, the US, and since 2019, I call New Zealand home. Experiencing different cultures has broadened my perspective, enriching my approach as a documentary photographer for businesses in Wellington, and as a family photographer, headshot photographer, personal branding photographer, and food photographer.

I’ve been honored with three awards for my documentary photography, which reinforce my life mission: capturing memories that truly matter. Photography has the power to rescue feelings and encapsulate love.

My joy is to capture your moments - family gatherings, personal milestones, business stories, or culinary creations - wherever you want to eternalize them. Explore my virtual gallery and see why my clients give such lovely reviews.

Ngā mihi,
Julia
